The problem

02 / 12

Exhibitors rent the scanner, then lose the leads.

  • Organiser lead retrieval is rented per show, commonly quoted around £1,900 for a three-day stand.
  • The organiser holds the data, so exports arrive late, partial, or on their platform.
  • A badge scan gives you a name and a company. No qualification, no context, no priority.
  • Reps write notes on paper and try to remember the conversation two days later.

£1,900 reflects common small-stand scanner rental quotes. Your own quote may differ.

The product

03 / 12

One scan becomes an enriched, scored lead.

ScanIQ reads the badge or card with AI, enriches the company from Companies House and its website, then scores the lead hot, warm or cold against the ideal customer profile you set for the event.

  • Built as an installable web app, so it runs on iOS and Android without an app store install.
  • Leads save to the device first, so a dead hall signal never costs you a conversation.
  • Your data stays yours: export as CSV whenever you want, delete an event whenever you want.

How it works

04 / 12

Four steps, all on the stand.

  • Capture: point the camera at a badge or business card, or type the details.
  • Read: AI OCR extracts name, job title, company, email, phone and address.
  • Enrich: Companies House and the company website fill in the business behind the badge.
  • Score: the lead is graded against your ICP with written reasons, then lands in your pipeline.

Each lead is scored at capture and re-scored as enrichment data arrives.

Capture

05 / 12

Four ways in, all without hardware.

  • Badge: photograph the visitor badge face on the stand.
  • Business card: lay the card flat and capture it.
  • Manual: type the details when there is no badge or card.
  • Self sign-in: a visitor joins from their own phone through your event link.

A phone mode gives the camera a full-screen thumb target for portrait use at a busy stand.

Enrichment

06 / 12

The company behind the badge.

  • Companies House: registration number, company status, incorporation date, SIC codes and officers.
  • Website: a plain-English summary of what the company does, plus an employee-band estimate.
  • Domain intelligence: no company printed? The work email domain identifies the business.
  • Email deliverability: a DNS check flags addresses that cannot receive mail, so follow-ups do not bounce.
  • Location: the registered office is geocoded so leads cluster on a map by headquarters.

Scoring

07 / 12

A priority order, not a pile of cards.

  • Set the ICP per event: target sectors, company size bands and the roles you want to meet.
  • A rules pass scores the data, then an AI pass weighs the evidence and writes the reasons.
  • Every lead is hot, warm or cold, with an ICP match percentage and up to four interest tags.
  • Score history is kept, so you can see a lead move from warm to hot as facts arrive.
  • A hot lead triggers an alert to the event owner the moment it is scored.

Follow-up

08 / 12

From stand conversation to sent email.

  • A pipeline board moves leads through your own stages by drag and drop.
  • Quick filters jump straight to new, qualified or follow-up leads in one tap.
  • Follow-up dates flag what is due and what is overdue on the dashboard.
  • Follow-up emails send from your connected Gmail, personalised with merge tags, one lead or many.
  • Bulk actions set stage and score across a selection, and export the filtered list to CSV.

Reporting

09 / 12

Proof for the person who pays for the stand.

  • Dashboard tiles: scans today, total scans, active reps and hot leads.
  • Score distribution per event, so you can compare shows at a glance.
  • A funnel from scanned to qualified to converted, with drop-off at each step.
  • Capture by day, conversion progress over the event, and leads clustered on a map.
  • Two scheduled emails: a daily leads digest, and a weekly summary to each event owner.

Data and compliance

10 / 12

The exhibitor is the controller.

  • Every lead records a consent status (confirmed, implied B2B or declined) plus a note.
  • Badge photos are discarded after OCR by default, and photo retention is a setting you control.
  • Retention defaults to 24 months and is configurable per event.
  • Leads are deleted when you delete the event, along with its companies, reps and exports.
  • Full CSV export at any time, with no organiser platform in the middle.

Pricing

11 / 12

One price per event. No per-lead fees.

  • Single event, £149: one device, one rep, unlimited badge and card scans.
  • Team event, £299: five devices, unlimited reps, a shared lead pool and rep attribution.
  • One-off payment per event. Nothing renews automatically, and there is no per-lead charge.
  • Single and Team both include enrichment, scoring, exports and the scheduled reports.

Compare with roughly £1,900 for a rented three-day badge scanner. Your own quote may differ.

Who it is for

12 / 12

Anyone whose pipeline starts at a stand.

  • Sales directors who need proof that the show budget paid for itself.
  • Sales managers running a stand with a team, who need every rep’s leads in one place.
  • Procurement and commercial teams qualifying suppliers on the floor, not in a spreadsheet a week later.

Start with one event at £149. If it does not pay for itself in leads, that is the whole cost.
